The Billet Collector Advantage

 

PHR pioneered the use of billet collectors on the 2JZ platform. By machining the collection point out of a single block of metal, we eliminated welds after the runner. This creates an incredibly strong structure, guarantees a perfectly flat turbo flange for a leak-free seal, and delivers an exquisite aesthetic finish.

 

Standard, Schedule 10, or Pro Mod? (Understanding PHR Runner Sizes)

 

The second two digits in our manifold names designate the primary runner size, which directly influences exhaust gas velocity and flow.

Note: Both the S23 and S45 are rated to handle over 2,000 HP. Your ultimate power figure will depend on your choice of turbocharger. Choose smaller runners for snappy, all-around power, or larger runners to extract maximum peak horsepower from your turbo.

  • Flawless Fitment: We build the best-fitting manifolds in the industry. The turbo position is optimized to allow massive units to clear the stock Supra hood easily while leaving plenty of room for downpipes and oil drains.

 

  • Hand-Built Integrity: Constructed in-house using heavy-duty Schedule 10 stainless steel tubing. Every manifold is meticulously TIG-welded and fully back-purged to prevent interior crystallization (slag) that could break off and destroy your turbo.

What’s Included (Beyond the Manifold)

 

Equal-length tubular manifolds can be notoriously difficult to install. We include a comprehensive solution kit to make your installation seamless:

 

  • PHR Short Stud & Nut Kit: Factory 2JZ studs are too long for aftermarket tubular manifolds. We provide ultra-strong Grade 12.9 short studs paired with small-diameter flange nuts, ensuring you can actually fit your tools into tight spaces and properly torque the hardware.

 

  • Lower Waterneck Adapter (Rotator): This essential piece re-angles your waterneck downward and away from the manifold. It frees up the room required to fit your turbo, manifold, and intercooler piping cleanly without custom welding.

 

Real-World Boost Control Tuning

 

Because of the high-flow efficiency of PHR manifolds, exhaust backpressure is greatly minimized. This efficiency means that real-world boost pressure typically registers around 5 psi higher than the rated wastegate spring pressure (when using TiAL gates).

 

  • Example: If your target is a low 14 psi, you may need to mix and match a 9 or 10 psi spring combination.

 

  • The Takeaway: Advertised spring pressures should be treated as a guideline. What matters most is that our rock-solid priority routing eliminates boost creep entirely, ensuring your wastegates have total control.
