Description

Dart’s Iron Eagle aftermarket block addresses the weaknesses of the legendary Toyota 2JZ engine, making it a ground-up upgrade for drag racing, time attack, drifting, and extreme street builds capable of supporting over 2,000 HP.

Key Enhancements & Engineering Features:

  • Enhanced Structural Integrity: Upgraded to 4-bolt billet steel main caps (caps 1–6) with standard 12mm/10mm studs, vastly improving crankcase strength over the stock 2-bolt setup.

  • Thicker Castings: Increased thickness across the cylinder walls, outer block case, and deck surface prevents flex and failure under high boost, ensuring a reliable head gasket seal.

  • Superior Cooling: Scalloped water jackets optimize coolant flow around the thick, siamesed cylinder walls, complemented by machined screw-in freeze plugs.

  • High-Performance Ready: Features blind 1/2" head bolt holes, provision for piston oilers, and optimized oil passages to clear up to a 94mm stroke (including clearance for aluminum rods).

  • OEM Compatibility: Retains factory mounting points for the starter, water pump, oil pan, rear main seal, and oil filter setup.

Core Specifications:

  • Material: 220 BHN Cast Iron | Weight: 162 lbs

  • Bore: 86mm standard (88mm max)

  • Deck Height: 8.625" (0.750" deck thickness)

  • Max Stroke: 94mm

  • Main Caps: Billet steel 4-bolt (#1–6), 2-bolt (#7)

Builder Notes: Always mock up moving assembly parts to verify rod-to-block and counterweight clearances (especially with 94mm stroke setups). Deburr main caps prior to reinstallation to maintain precise sizing. Clean, snug, and apply P1 TorquePoint Lube to studs—never over-torque studs directly into the blind holes.
