RSG 1200 Shortblock

The RSG1200 is designed for end users looking to crest the magical 1000whp mark without breaking the bank. It's a great alternative to rolling the dice with a non-blueprinted OEM shortblock.
We start with a non-turbo NA core block, so you're not buying someone else's used-up stuff. It's converted to twin turbo oiling, and the main journals are align-honed with ARP studs. Bores are machined to 86.5mm on a CNC hone, and the block is decked to ensure the crankshaft mains and deck are perfectly parallel.
The blocks are shot-peened to get them perfectly clean, then painted and assembled with OEM freeze plugs.
CP or Manley pistons are used, paired with Manley H-Tuff rods and upgraded pins. Billet main caps are available as an optional upgrade.

RSG 1600 Shortblock

With years of proving the combination, the 1600HP platform is more than just chasing numbers. The 2JZ engine needs a handful of key improvements to deliver that level of power reliably—and over time, Jay has honed in on that formula.

We start with a virgin GE core, convert it to twin turbo oiling, and install screw-in freeze plugs. The block gets billet main caps and ARP main studs. Custom CP pistons are coated with an abradable line-to-line coating to provide perfect piston-to-wall clearance, ring stability, and oil control.C300 or TP1 piston pins are used, paired with BC H-beam rods and ARP CA625+ rod bolts. OEM cranks have their oil galley plugs removed and tapped for service plugs. Each crank is checked for straightness, egg, and taper—we only use select cores.

A Brian Crower stroker crank is optional if you're looking for more power or improved turbo response.

RSG 1600 DART Shortblock

The Dart-based RSG engine is for the customer who “just wants the best engine possible.”

It starts with Dart’s Iron Eagle 2JZ block. While it mimics the OEM external design, it packs 30lbs of additional material for added strength.

The deck thickness is increased to .750" for head gasket retention, and mains 2–6 use oversized steel 4-bolt main caps. Dart blocks come with screw-in freeze plugs, and 1/2" head studs are available.

The internals match our proven 1600-series recipe:

Custom CP pistons with Line2Line abradable skirt coating for optimized fit, oil control, and reduced thrust loading.
C300 or TP1 pins receive a proprietary heat treatment to survive extreme stress and abuse.
BC H-beam rods with ARP CA625+ rod bolts.
OEM cranks are prepped in-house, or you can opt for a Brian Crower stroker to push even more power and response.

With dry sump oiling, this is a 2000hp-capable engine.
